I'm sure you're wondering if I got here safe & sound and so I have. :)
The movers came at 8:30am Friday and had me packed and loaded in 3 hrs. Then I ran to the bank, as I lost my debit card (grrr) to change my address and get a new card sent to me. I stopped into work to print off some documents and send something to my boss and then I was off to grab dinner and head home. The auto-transport guy came and got my car about 6:30pm. I went to bed around 12 midnight, just finishing last minute stuff (like dying my hair). That was a mistake as I had to get up at 3:45am to catch my 7:40am flight (SuperShuttle came at 4:45am).
I got into Charlotte on Saturday, no problems flying with AirTran (can you believe that?) My bags were even ready for me when I got down to baggage claim! I went to the Avis counter to get my $13/day economy car (from priceline) and they were out, BUT they got me a Mercury Mariner (fully loaded, leather) instead for no extra charge! Oh darn. Only downer is the gas portion. But my car should arrive Friday or Saturday.
Sunday I went to Morningstar church with Gabe, ended up sitting with Steph & her mom. :) Service was great and God was there for sure! He spoke to me and I can feel JOY coming back into my life and a fire that has long been at a smoldering point, grow hotter & bigger!
I signed on my apartment yesterday & I'm staying there now. I love my little apartment (aside from hearing my neighbors upstairs last night)! I'm in the nesting mode now. I bought some energy efficient drapery to keep it cool & dark in my room and a vacuum. I'm still waiting for the movers to come with my stuff, so I'm sleeping on my air mattress. Normally it's fine, but I woke up in the middle of the night with major pain in my hip. Only me. :)
Just getting settled into my cube at work. I got THREE monitors now, it's awesome! Everyone's been so nice :) I love southern hospitality!
Well, that's enough for now, back to filling out forms and setting up my schedule. Have a good one!
